u3a is a UK-wide collection of over 1000+ charities and around 400,000 members that provide the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together to explore new ideas, skills and interests for fun.
Barston U3A was established in 2007, to encourage the continuing self-education and recreation for those who are no longer in full time employment. If you are retired & find yourself with more leisure time why not join us?
It is an excellent way to make new friends and extend your range of interests. Visit our Group Pages to see the range of subjects & activities and our Events Page for our latest news and information.
We are a small, friendly group. We have a monthly meeting at 2.30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month, at the Barston Memorial Institute in Barston - opposite the Bull's Head pub and next to St. Swithin's Church. We have approximately 60 members.
As well as our monthly meetings we have around 10 interest Groups. Members are encouraged to form new interest groups and the range of Groups changes over time as support dictates.
