u3a is an international organisation which was set up in the UK in 1982 as an informal learning and social co-operative for older people. With over 430,000 members UK wide u3a enables retired people to share many creative, leisure and educational activities, organised mainly in small groups that meet regularly in a variety of venues and sometimes in a member’s homes. Through sharing our knowledge, skills and experience, we learn from each other.
