This is a talk about the nurses and doctors who risked their own lives working in the field hospitals on the Western Front during World War One.
Faced with situations that they had never encountered before, they pioneered new treatments and procedures in their efforts to save patients. This led to many advances in the medical profession of the future.
In addition, we will also hear the stories of several heroic individuals of this time, both doctors and nurses.
